Since the Olympic Gold in Rome in 1960 Colnago frames ultimatively belong to the world’s best. In 1972 Ernesto Colnago constructed the very light steel frame that Eddy Merckx was riding, when he beat the world record for hour driving. In 1982 Colnago produced the superior frame made of Columbus steel, which took Giuseppe Sarroni to the Road Race World Championship.
DaCorsa fondly rebuilt exactly one of these Colnago Master frames according to a customers’ request. The frame was sandblasted and proofed on the smallest damage. It got a powder-coat in classic blue metallic; the original reconstructed labels and was high glossy clear lacquered at last. The muffles at the head tube in chrome are a hallmark of Colnago frames ever since. All of the components are in excellent state. Of course all of the fats, features and shift cables (Jagwire) have been replaced. As well as the tires. This Colnago Master is another masterpiece resurrected in the small backyard garage of DaCorsa.
